Version 1.0
Effective Date: 15-01-2026
Issued by: Building Bloqs at Meridian Works Ltd
1. Purpose & Scope
This Code of Conduct outlines the behavioural expectations of all users, visitors, contractors, and staff at BLOQS. It exists to foster a respectful, professional, safe, and inclusive culture within our shared production environments.
This policy aligns with applicable UK legislation, including (but not limited to) the Equality Act 2010 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
By entering BLOQS premises or holding a BLOQS account, all individuals agree to conduct themselves in accordance with this Code.
This Code of Conduct forms part of the BLOQS contractual framework and should be read alongside the BLOQS Terms & Conditions (Hub) and associated Spoke Policies.
2. Core Principles
BLOQS is a community-driven, shared facility open to a diverse range of users. Our core principles are:
Respect & Inclusivity
Everyone must be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, neurodiversity, or background.
Shared Access
BLOQS facilities, tools, and workspaces are shared resources. No individual or group has special priority outside of official bookings, training requirements, or published policies.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or discriminatory behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
Safe Conduct
All users share responsibility for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment.
3. Expected Behaviour
All individuals using BLOQS are expected to behave in a manner that supports shared use, safety, and mutual respect.
Communication
Be polite, clear, and professional. Inappropriate jokes, exclusionary language, aggressive tone, or disrespectful behaviour are not acceptable.
Fair Use of Machinery
Where machinery is not otherwise governed by bookings, training sign-offs, or machine-specific rules, most shared equipment operates on a fair-use basis, typically limited to approximately 30 minutes during peak periods to ensure equitable access.
Users must not pressure, hover over, intimidate, rush, or attempt to force another user off a machine. Any concerns regarding access or misuse should be raised with BLOQS staff.
Non-Favouritism
BLOQS staff and users must avoid preferential treatment. Access to facilities is governed by published policies and operational rules, not personal relationships.
Respect for Shared Spaces
Keep communal areas clean and tidy. Do not interfere with others’ work, obstruct walkways, or leave personal belongings unattended in shared areas.
Accessibility & Support
Be mindful of others’ access needs. Keep routes clear and assist where appropriate. Speak up if someone’s access or safety is being compromised.
Privacy
Do not photograph, film, or record others without their explicit consent. Respect confidentiality in shared conversations and working environments.
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited on BLOQS premises:
- Harassment, intimidation, bullying, or threatening behaviour

5. Shared Space & Fair Usage

- Training and competency sign-offs
- Bookings made via the BLOQS Booking Platform
